“This campaign to give Maggie a voice is a great thing to be part of!” said Jamie Steffen, CEO and Founder of Fuzion Athletics and rentpoles.com. “Not only are we promoting reading but we are helping kids that need help reading by making an audiobook. All of us at Fuzion Athletics are proud to be part of Maggie’s life.”
The first bag went to the Manhattan, Montana, High School Tigers’ pole-vault squad, who will transport their poles in style this season, thanks to Coach Laura Arthun, who snagged it as a reward for a $125 pledge to Maggie’s Audiobook Campaign.
Fuzion is eager to help narrator Tavia Gilbert perform and produce Maggie Vaults Over the Moon on audiobook. Tavia’s list of accolades includes six Audie Award nominations, equal to the Academy Award in her art form. The campaign will cover Tavia’s expenses, and lift the sport of pole-vaulting to a new audience.
This is truly a pole vaulter’s pole bag, designed and made in the US by vaulters who’ve tried the other bags that just don’t work. These rugged vinyl bags are about 8 inches in diameter and large enough to fit around a 6-inch corrugated tube. Choice of 14- or 16-foot lengths.
Fuzion Athletics provides the best resources for beginner to elite vaulters, including year-round camps and training facilities, pole rentals, and traveling opportunities. Its new facility in Shelbyville, Kentucky brings coaching expertise and training opportunities to the Bluegrass State as well as the southern parts of Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio. It’s facility in St. Paul, Minnesota attracts vaulters from Minnesota and Wisconsin.
Additional sponsors for the crowdfunding event include: Artist Phillip Carrero, Dial Athletics, Gill Athletics, Raise the Bar Pole Vault Club, Rusty Shealy Pole Vault Club, Texas Pole Vault Club at Elitz Sports, Tailwind Pole Vault Club, and Vaulter Magazine!
