Gill Athletics tops the amazing list of sponsors for Maggie’s Audiobook Campaign!
Gill Athletics, the world’s largest manufacturer of track and field equipment, has enthusiastically agreed to provide the Grand Prize reward for Maggie’s Audiobook Campaign, which goes live on the Indiegogo crowdfunding platform at 8 a.m. central time this Saturday, March 1st.
Additional sponsors for the 30-day event include: Artist Phillip Carrero, Dial Athletics, Fuzion Athletics, Raise the Bar Pole Vault Club, Rusty Shealy Pole Vault Club, Texas Pole Vault Club at Elitz Sports, Tailwind Pole Vault Club, and Vaulter Magazine!
These fine sponsors have joined together to provide rewards for contributors who help narrator Tavia Gilbert perform and produce Maggie Vaults Over the Moon on audiobook. Tavia’s list of accolades includes six Audie Award nominations (the audiobook equivalent of the Academy Award). The campaign will cover Tavia’s expenses, and lift the sport of pole-vaulting to a new audience.
In the novel by Grant Overstake, storybook heroine Maggie Steele, a gutsy farm girl from tiny Grain Valley, Kansas, pours her broken heart into the daring sport of pole-vaulting. The story’s uplifting message has been endorsed by US Olympic vaulters, coaches, and readers young and old. Kirkus Reviews calls Maggie, “A fine young adult novel about perseverance in sports and in life.”
Tavia will narrate, produce and help distribute the audiobook for a one-time fee of only $3,000. For a talent like Tavia, it’s a sign of support for a story she truly believes in.
The author won’t profit directly from the Indiegogo campaign. If we raise more than $3,000, we’ll repay the interest-free business loan to the supporter in the pole-vault community who helped us indie-publish the book in the first place. Any funds over $4,500 will allow us to create a new Maggie Steele Scholarship Award for female pole-vaulters, like Maggie, who’ve overcome big obstacles.
Maggie Vaults Over the Moon on audiobook will be distributed through Audible, Amazon, and iTunes. The author will receive the royalties from these sales.
You can help by selecting a level of funding support that makes you feel super-great. You can help by asking your family members and friends to join you. And you can help by sharing on social media and friending Maggie on Facebook.
You’ll get the satisfaction of knowing that you helped Tavia share Maggie’s story with a world of listeners. And you’ll get some great rewards! The specifics of the sponsors’ donations will be revealed over the next few days, but include camp discounts and other cool stuff.
“All I can say at this point is that the rewards they’ve lined up will blow you away,” Overstake said. “Stay tuned for the details!”
